DISCOVER MAUI ![]() The second largest among the Hawaiian Islands is Maui. This island is also called the “Valley Isle” due to its fertile isthmus located between two volcanoes. Getting to Maui is easy; there are now a couple of airlines that fly directly to Maui from the west coast. You could also take a sea cruise from Honolulu going to Maui and enjoy the breath-taking sea scenery. Once you arrive in the island, there are lots of exciting activities that await you; you may sometimes feel overwhelmed by the number of things to do and places to visit. First lets start with your accommodations. A lot of tourist activity happens on the North Shore or along the West Shore. Make sure to choose an accommodation within these areas to keep you within walking distance from the exciting places. After securing your accommodation, we would definitely want to rent a car since the attractions are spread out all over the island. As for the popular attractions of the island, the Haleakala National Park is a must to visit. Hiking in the park is the best way to explore it. This park stretches from the warm sea level of the Pacific to a cold height of 10,000ft. You could find lots of rare plants along the way to the top. There are campgrounds located inside this park for those who want to camp and enjoy the outdoors. The Maui Ocean Center is a state of the art marine park which houses lots of sea creatures that are native to the Hawaiian waters. The live coral display is the largest in America. This center attracts lots of visitors who often stay an average of two hours just to view the aquariums. |
