Travel Europe
Many people every year travel to Europe, and
go about their sight seeing in many different ways. Traveling by rail is one of
the most acclaimed ways of traveling the country. It has been said that Rail
travel is not only quick and reliable, but it also takes travelers though almost
thirty thousand European Cities. The European Rail network, which is also called
"Eurail", spans over one hundred and fifty thousand kilometers of beautiful
European scenery. It beats driving across the country, considering that you have
to pay attention to the road and fellow drivers, rather than being able to
simply look out your window and enjoy the vast beauty of this exotic and diverse
country. With approximately eighty thousand train departures per day, it is more
than easy to plan your trip around traveling the Eurasia. Traveling Europe by
rail is actually pretty cheap, and traveling at night can save you money on
hotels, and time on planning reservations for the different cities you wish to
see. If you are planning on seeing many different countries during your trip,
this can be a very helpful accommodation, saving you from the headache of trying
to make reservations to many hotels in different countries. Relaxing and
comfortable, many people simply sleep on the rail at night when taking a long
trip across Europe.
There are many different types of passes you can acquire for traveling on Eurail,
and it is wise to research them all before deciding which pass to buy, depending
on the type of trip you plan on making. There are many different providers for
rail passes, and you can even go straight to the source and visit Eurail.com for
your tickets and information. Your travel agent should be able to help you find
the best pass to accommodate your travel plans. For instance, the Eurail Global
Pass offers you the option to travel within all the eighteen European countries
that the Eurail network travels through. Options vary between fifteen day and
three month passes, and the pass allows you to travel as many times as you wish
within the time limit you buy your pass for. This is a perfect option for anyone
planning an extended period of travel or tour of Europe. There is even a "Saverpass"
option for between two and five people who are traveling together, a wonderful
option for anyone who is planning a family vacation. The Eurail Global Pass
Flexi also allows you to travel through the eighteen countries in the Eurail
network, but this pass is a bit different. It only offers either ten or fifteen
days of travel, all within a two month period, and begins the first day you use
your pass. Other options include the Select Pass, a newer option that gives you
your choice of between three and five countries you wish to see, allowing you to
save a little money. But remember, with this option, the countries must be
connected by rail or ship. The Eurail Regional Pass, on the other hand, will
allow you to travel through two bordering countries of your choice, sometimes
more. Be sure to discuss this option with your travel agent and do some research
before deciding to buy the pass. For those who are planning on seeing only one
country, traveling by rail is also a great choice, and the Eurail National
Passes are what you're looking for. These passes allow unlimited travel within a
country of your choosing from a list of available choices. The countries in
which the National Pass are available are Sweden, Romania, Spain, Ireland,
Italy, Denmark, Norway, Croatia, Finland, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Hungary,
Holland, and Benelux (Benelux is actually the three separate countries of
Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg, and are considered as one country for the
purpose of rail travel). Be sure to talk to your travel agent about anything you
don't fully understand concerning any of these passes, to prevent problems
during your travels.
